2000 Loss on Heat Thin Film Oven for Oil Fuel and Petroleum Testing Instruments

The Asphalt Oven determines the effects of heating on asphaltic materials under prescribed conditions. Test results are reported in terms of changes in sample mass and selected properties such as viscosity, penetration, and ductility, based on measurements taken before and after the oven cycle. The dual-purpose oven is designed for loss-on-heating and thin-film tests on bitumen and asphaltic materials. It features a stainless steel interior chamber, a powder-coated steel exterior, and a double-glazed door window for viewing the test chamber. Side-mounted controls include a microprocessor-based digital temperature controller, an independent over-temperature thermostat, a main switch, and indicator lamps.
