Saybolt Universal Seconds (SUS) are used to measure the viscosity of lubricants, insulating oils, and lighter fuel grades, while Saybolt Furol Seconds (SFS) are used for heavier oils and bitumens. The instrument features a microprocessor-based PID temperature controller, dual digital displays for setpoint and actual temperature, and selectable Celsius or Fahrenheit scales. The constant-temperature bath accommodates four viscometer tubes and four 60 mL receiving flasks.
