Apparatus of Franck-Hertz Experiment Complete Model for Advanced Physics Lab

The Apparatus of Franck-Hertz Experiment Complete Model for Advanced Physics Lab is an advanced educational system designed to demonstrate one of the most important experiments in modern physics. The Franck-Hertz experiment provides direct evidence for the existence of discrete atomic energy levels, confirming Bohr’s atomic model and laying the foundation for quantum mechanics. In this experiment, electrons emitted from a heated cathode are accelerated through a controlled electric field and collide with Argon atoms contained within a gas-filled tube. When the electrons acquire sufficient kinetic energy, they undergo inelastic collisions with Argon atoms, transferring a fixed amount of energy and exciting the atoms to higher energy states. The resulting changes in collector current reveal the quantized nature of atomic energy levels. Compared with basic Franck-Hertz systems, this complete model incorporates a built-in data acquisition (DAQ) card that allows direct connection to a computer through a USB interface. Experimental results can be recorded manually, displayed on an oscilloscope, or analyzed using dedicated software, providing students with a modern and efficient experimental experience. The apparatus combines compact construction, reliable performance, and advanced data processing capabilities, making it an excellent teaching tool for undergraduate and advanced physics laboratories.
