Automatic Vacuum Distillation System for Oil Fuel and Petroleum Testing Instruments

The Automatic Vacuum Distillation System determines the boiling range of petroleum products that can be partially or completely vaporized at a maximum liquid temperature of 400°C under reduced pressure. The sample is distilled under controlled vacuum conditions designed to provide approximately one theoretical plate of fractionation. Initial and final boiling points are measured, and a distillation curve relating volume percentage distilled to atmospheric equivalent boiling point temperature can be prepared. The system features fully automatic operation, PC-based control, automatic cleaning, and a vacuum step-down function to inhibit foaming. Windows-based software guides the operator through the distillation process, displays equipment status, and presents results in tables and graphs as testing progresses. Data can be saved in standard formats, opened in spreadsheet applications, or exported to LIMS. Files can be accessed through USB drives or an Ethernet connection. A color printer is provided for printing reports. Safety shields and doors protect the operator, while the removable receiver and accessible components simplify maintenance.
