+91 98967 93832The Balmer Series and Rydberg Constant Experiment Apparatus is designed to study the visible emission spectrum of hydrogen and determine the experimental value of the Rydberg constant. The apparatus enables students to investigate the spectral lines produced by electron transitions from higher energy levels to the second energy level of the hydrogen atom. Using a diffraction grating, the collimated light from a Hydrogen-Deuterium lamp is dispersed into its constituent spectral lines. A telescope and digital protractor system are then used to accurately measure diffraction angles, allowing the wavelengths of the Balmer series lines to be calculated. This experiment provides valuable insight into atomic structure, quantum energy levels, spectroscopy, and the relationship between spectral wavelengths and the Rydberg constant. It is an ideal educational tool for university-level physics and optics laboratories. Physics Lab Experiments from Atico Exports.
