+91 98967 93832The Cavendish Gravitational Balance is designed to demonstrate the existence of gravitational forces between masses and to experimentally determine the Universal Gravitational Constant (G). Based on the classical Cavendish experiment, the apparatus provides an accurate and economical method for measuring the extremely small gravitational force between masses. It enables students to determine the value of G with high precision using either the initial acceleration method or the equilibrium displacement method. Manufactured by Atico Export India.
Principle
The experiment is based on the gravitational attraction between two masses as described by Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation. The gravitational force between the masses produces a measurable deflection in the system, allowing the Universal Gravitational Constant (G) to be determined. The experiment also verifies the inverse square relationship between gravitational force and the distance separating the masses.
