+91 98967 93832The Centripetal Force Apparatus is designed to investigate the relationship between centripetal force, velocity, radius, and mass during circular motion. It combines a rotating mass system with a high-quality electric motor, force sensor, and photogate to help students experimentally study the principles of centripetal force and rotational motion.
The apparatus enables accurate and repeatable measurements of force, angular velocity, and tangential velocity, making it suitable for practical physics experiments.
Designed and manufactured by Atico Export to meet the practical requirements of modern physics laboratories and educational training facilities.
Working principle :
The rotating arm contains a groove with two captured masses positioned along its length. One mass can move freely within the groove and is connected to a small cable that passes beneath a central pulley and connects to a force sensor.
A ball-bearing swivel prevents the cable from tangling during rotation. The second mass is positioned at the same distance from the centre as the movable mass to maintain balance.
A flag attached to the fixed mass passes through the photogate once during each revolution. This enables the calculation of angular and tangential velocity, while the force sensor measures the centripetal force acting on the rotating mass.
