Digital Humidity Cabinet for Oil Fuel and Petroleum Testing Instruments

The Humidity Cabinet for Rust Prevention Testing evaluates the ability of metal preservatives to protect steel panels against rusting under high-humidity conditions. Polished steel panels are immersed in the test oil and then suspended inside the humidity cabinet for a specified period. The cabinet produces a moisture-saturated atmosphere with continuous condensation at a constant temperature of 120°F (48.9°C) and accommodates 33 steel test specimens on a rotating stage. Airflow and water-level control systems maintain the required test conditions in accordance with applicable military and ASTM specifications. A digital LCD electronic controller maintains air temperature, while an adjustable digital thermostat provides over-temperature protection by cutting off power in the event of overheating. The stainless steel-lined interior and stainless steel or chrome-plated steel components provide durability. A hinged cover made of two layers of desized cotton cloth mounted on a metal frame allows convenient access. Oil and condensate dripping from the specimens are collected in a drip pan and directed to an external drain.
