Digital Water Spray Apparatus for Fuel Testing Instrument

The Water Spray Resistance Tester is designed to evaluate the ability of lubricating grease to adhere to a metal surface when exposed to a direct water spray under controlled conditions. The test determines the percentage of grease removed from a stainless steel test panel after a specified spraying period by measuring the weight loss.

The apparatus includes a spray chamber, water delivery system, and constant-temperature reservoir. Water is circulated through the system until thermal equilibrium is achieved, after which the grease-coated test panel is placed inside the spray chamber. Water is sprayed at a specified pressure and temperature for the required duration to assess the grease's resistance to removal.

The system incorporates a positive-displacement pump, pressure gauge, spray nozzle, bypass valve, shut-off and drain valves, and flexible high-pressure water lines. A standardized grease application fixture ensures consistent coating thickness, while separate thermometer wells allow monitoring of reservoir and spray water temperatures.
