+91 98967 93832The Franck Hertz Experiment with Neon Recording with the Oscilloscope is designed to demonstrate the existence of discrete atomic energy levels through inelastic collisions between electrons and neon atoms. As the accelerating voltage is varied, electrons transfer energy to neon atoms, producing characteristic changes in the target current and visible luminous layers within the tube. The experiment provides direct experimental verification of quantum energy states and atomic excitation. Measurement data can be recorded and analyzed using an oscilloscope for accurate observation of the characteristic curves. Manufactured by Atico Export India.
Principle
The experiment is based on the inelastic collision of accelerated electrons with neon atoms. Electrons emitted from the cathode are accelerated toward the target electrode through two control grids. When the electrons acquire sufficient kinetic energy, they excite neon atoms by transferring discrete amounts ---of energy during collisions. This causes a decrease in the target current and produces distinct luminous red layers between the acceleration grids. By analyzing the current-voltage characteristic, the excitation energy of neon atoms and the existence of quantized atomic energy levels can be demonstrated.
