+91 98967 93832The Free Rotational Oscillations Recording with Software is designed to investigate free harmonic rotational oscillations using computer-assisted data acquisition and analysis. The integrated software records oscillation data in real time and provides comprehensive analysis through displacement-time, velocity-time, acceleration-time, and phase diagrams. The apparatus also enables the study of damping, resonance, nonlinear oscillations, and chaotic motion, making it ideal for advanced physics laboratory experiments. Manufactured by Atico Export India.
Principle
The experiment is based on the rotational oscillation of a torsion pendulum. During free oscillations, the angular displacement decreases exponentially due to damping while maintaining harmonic motion. The software continuously records the motion through a rotary motion sensor and allows analysis of displacement, velocity, acceleration, and phase relationships. By varying the damping level and modifying the restoring torque, the apparatus can also demonstrate the transition from harmonic motion to nonlinear and chaotic oscillations.
