General Flow Sensor for School, Colleges and Universities Purpose.

The General Flow Sensor measures the fluid velocity of air or water by detecting the pressure difference between two input tubes. A Venturi Tube or Pitot Tube must be connected to the sensor for data collection. The type of fluid being measured, air or water, can be selected through compatible data acquisition software.

Working principle :

The sensor determines fluid velocity by measuring the pressure difference between its two input tubes. When connected to a Venturi Tube or Pitot Tube, it measures the pressure changes required to calculate fluid velocity. The appropriate fluid type, air or water, is selected through the software.

• Water: 0 to 84 gpm
• Air: 0 to 773 gpm

Venturi accuracy :

• Water: ±2 gpm
• Air: ±2.5 cf/min

Pitot range :

• Water: 0 to 9.98 m/s
• Air: 0 to 92.1 m/s

• The Venturi Tube is used in pipe networks carrying water or air.
• The Pitot Tube is used in open water channels or air flow systems.

Pressure Accuracy : ±2.5% of Full Scale (0 to 85°C)

Resolution : 0.2% of Full Scale
