Gouge auger set for stepwise sampling for Soil Testing Lab

The gouge auger set for stepwise sampling consists of three two-piece gouge augers with different diameters, designed for collecting soil samples at varying depths while minimizing cross-contamination. Sampling is performed first with the largest-diameter auger, followed by progressively smaller augers to help prevent contamination between samples.

The gouge augers are available in diameters of 40 mm, 30 mm and 20 mm, with a net operational length of 30 cm.

The augers can be pushed directly into the soil or operated using an impact-absorbing hammer. Their short operational length and decreasing diameters make them particularly suitable for soil profile investigations in conditions with relatively high penetration resistance.

This set is especially useful for agricultural soil research, including nitrate investigations and sampling of agricultural land at depths of up to 90 cm.
