+91 98967 93832The Hall Effect Apparatus is designed to study the Hall Effect in an n-type semiconductor by measuring the Hall voltage generated when a current-carrying semiconductor is placed in a magnetic field. The apparatus enables students to investigate the Hall Effect, determine the conductivity of the semiconductor, study magnetic field distribution, and understand methods for eliminating systematic measurement errors. Manufactured by Atico Export India.
Principle
The Hall Effect occurs when a current-carrying conductor or semiconductor is placed in a magnetic field perpendicular to the direction of current flow. A voltage, known as the Hall Voltage, is developed across the specimen in a direction perpendicular to both the current and the magnetic field. This phenomenon is widely used for measuring magnetic fields and determining semiconductor properties such as carrier type and conductivity.
