Lamp and Scale Arrangement for Physics Lab

Lamp and Scale Arrangement is based on the Griffen Pattern and is designed for use with reflecting ballistic galvanometers. The setup consists of a heavy cabinet made from 20 SWG sheet metal with a printed aluminum panel on the top.

The cabinet houses a transformer suitable for operating the lamp house. The lamp house is manufactured from aluminum-silver alloy and fitted with a special bulb connected to the transformer through a detachable male-female plug.

A rack-and-pinion arrangement is provided for accurate focusing. The lamp house can move vertically along the rod mounted on the detachable box, while its inclination can also be adjusted in the vertical plane.

Light passing through the double-convex lens falls on the concave mirror of the ballistic galvanometer and produces a bright spot on the translucent Perspex scale mounted above the lamp house.
