EXPERIMENT: DETERMINATION OF MAGNETIC FIELD ALONG THE AXIS OF A CIRCULAR COIL

EXPERIMENT SETUP CONSISTS OF:

• Circular Coil Apparatus with Compass and Slider – 500 mm rail supported on wooden base, coil of 180 mm dia and 140 turns, provided with 4 inch compass
• Battery Eliminator – Regulated DC output, with selectable voltages 1.2, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 V, maximum current up to 2 A
• Digital Ammeter – Range 0–2 A, resolution: 1 mA, mains operated
• Rheostat – 100 Ω / 2.3 A, wire wound type
• Connecting Wires – As required
