Malus Law Apparatus for Physics Lab

Malus Law Apparatus is designed to help students understand the wave nature and polarization of light. A diode laser is used as the light source, and the apparatus allows the basic principles of polarization and Malus Law to be experimentally verified.

Polarization can be studied through direct observation as well as by measuring the variation in light intensity using a digital ammeter connected to a photodetector. The verification of Malus Law can be performed using two coaxial polarizers and a combination of a glass plate and Polaroid.
