+91 98967 93832The Materials Testing Machine measures force and displacement in various materials during stretching, compression, shearing, and bending tests. It allows students to investigate important material properties, including Young's Modulus, Tensile Strength, Yield Strength, Ductility, and Modulus of Resilience.
The machine measures force using a 7100 N load cell and displacement using an optical encoder. Compatible data acquisition software provides a compliance calibration wizard and tools for recording and displaying stress-strain curves, applying linear fits to determine Young's Modulus, and recording and replaying webcam videos of breaking samples synchronized with experimental data.
Designed and manufactured by Atico Export to meet the practical requirements of modern materials testing laboratories and educational training facilities.
Working principle :
The machine uses a built-in load cell (strain gauge transducer) to measure forces up to 7100 N (1600 lbs). An optical encoder module measures the displacement of the load bar. A crank-and-gear mechanism raises or lowers the load bar using two lead screws, also known as power screws or translation screws.
Force data from the load cell and displacement data from the encoder module can be recorded, displayed, and analyzed using a compatible computer interface and data acquisition software. The sensor cable from the materials testing assembly connects to a compatible input port.
The assembly includes a calibration rod and nut, a load bar round nut, and a pair of safety shields with hook-and-loop fastening material.
