+91 98967 93832The Airfoil Measurement in Wind Tunnel apparatus is designed to study the aerodynamic characteristics of airfoils by measuring lift and air resistance under controlled airflow conditions. The experiment enables students to investigate the effect of the angle of attack on aerodynamic forces and determine the optimum angle of attack using a polar diagram. It provides a practical understanding of aerodynamic principles used in aircraft wing design and fluid mechanics. Manufactured by Atico Export India.
Principle
When air flows over an airfoil, aerodynamic forces including lift and drag (air resistance) are generated. These forces depend on the shape of the airfoil, airflow velocity, and the angle of attack. By varying the angle of attack and measuring the corresponding lift and drag forces, a polar diagram can be plotted to evaluate the aerodynamic performance and identify the optimum operating angle of the airfoil.
