+91 98967 93832The Micro-Separometer is an electromechanical instrument designed to evaluate the water separation characteristics of aviation turbine fuels for field and laboratory use. It measures the ability of fuels to release entrained or emulsified water when passed through fiberglass coalescing material and indicates the presence of surfactants that can degrade the performance of filter separators used to remove water from fuel. Water contamination can impair engine performance, promote microbiological growth, cause tank corrosion, and lead to filter plugging in fuel lines.
The instrument uses a turbidimeter, mechanical mixer, and disposable filter to assess fuel quality. A portion of the sample in a clear glass vial is used to set the meter to a reading of 100. After discarding the initial sample, the vial is retained for testing. Another portion of the sample is placed in a plastic syringe and mixed with water to create an emulsion. The emulsion passes through the filter at a programmed rate, and a portion is collected in the retained vial. The vial is then placed in the turbidimeter to determine the water separation rating of the fuel. Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on precision, durability, and reliable performance for aviation turbine fuel testing applications.
