Pocket penetrometer for Soil Strength testing lab

The pocket penetrometer is designed to determine the penetration resistance of upper soil layers and soil samples in the field or laboratory. It measures penetration resistance at a shallow depth of up to 1 cm, with a measuring range of 0.5 MPa, and provides an immediate reading.

When the instrument is pushed into the soil, the pin encounters resistance from the ground, compressing the internal spring. A slip ring moves along with the compression and indicates the maximum force encountered on the scale.

The calibrated scale allows direct reading of the penetration resistance without additional calculations.
