+91 98967 93832Polarization of Light by Quarter-Wave Plate Experiment is designed to study the polarization state of light using a polarizer, quarter-wave or half-wave plate, analyzer, and photo detector.
In this experiment, a laser beam passes through a polarizer, quarter-wave or half-wave plate, and analyzer before falling on the detector. The polarization of the emergent light is investigated at different angles between the optic axis of the wave plate and the direction of the incident light.
The detector output current is recorded at different analyzer angles. The change in polarization state and axis can be studied from the graph between the detector output current and analyzer angle.
