Precision Conductivity Meter for Oil Fuel and Petroleum Testing Instruments

The Aviation Fuel Conductivity Tester determines the rest electrical conductivity of aviation fuels and other similar low-conductivity hydrocarbon liquids within the range of 0.1 to 2000 pS/m. The instrument measures conductivity using a 100 mL sample introduced between two concentric electrodes in the conductivity cell. A sensitive DC ammeter measures the resulting current, which is converted and digitally displayed in picosiemens per meter (pS/m), also known as conductivity units (CU), where 1 CU = 1 pS/m. The cell features a stable, calculable cell constant and an enclosure design that eliminates the need for external screening against stray electrical fields. Electronic circuitry automatically samples and holds readings, while an internal self-check function verifies the electronic circuits. The instrument includes a large five-digit LCD, an easy-to-disassemble and clean conductivity cell, and a low-battery indicator. It is powered by six standard 9 V batteries and can be modified for higher conductivity ranges. Optional sample temperature measurement is also available.
