+91 98967 93832The Fresnel's Biprism Experiment is designed to demonstrate interference by division of wavefront using Fresnel's biprism. The apparatus enables students to generate and observe interference fringes produced by two virtual coherent light sources. A precision optical bench and accurately aligned optical components ensure easy setup, precise measurements, and clear observation of the interference pattern, making it an ideal experiment for optics laboratories. Manufactured by Atico Export India.
Principle
Fresnel's Biprism Experiment demonstrates interference by division of wavefront. Light from a narrow slit passes through a biprism consisting of two thin prisms joined together, producing two virtual coherent light sources. These virtual sources generate equally spaced interference fringes when their light waves overlap. A convex lens and micrometer eyepiece are used to observe and accurately measure the fringe spacing.
