This combined hardness tester is designed for measuring the hardness of metals with flat, round, or irregular specimen shapes. The cast iron bench-mounted unit operates on the principle of a lever and weights system. Weights are applied to the free end of a lever, transmitting pressure onto a plunger which indents the specimen under test.
