Roll Stability Tester for Fuel Testing Instrument

The Roll Stability Tester is designed to evaluate the shear stability of lubricating greases by measuring changes in worked penetration after two hours of rolling under controlled conditions. The test helps determine how mechanical working affects the consistency and performance of grease.

The apparatus rotates steel test cylinders at 10 or 165 rpm inside a thermostatically controlled chamber. A robust geared motor drives the rotation mechanism, while interchangeable sprockets allow convenient conversion between operating speeds.

The system features microprocessor-based PID temperature control, dual LED displays for actual and setpoint temperatures, and an overtemperature protection circuit. A balanced cast-aluminum fan and 1200 W heater provide efficient heat distribution. An optional high-temperature model extends the operating range to 160°C for specialized time-temperature testing.
