Russian Peat Sampler set for Soil Testing Lab

The Russian peat sampler is designed for collecting soil, peat and soft sediment samples while minimizing displacement or damage to roots, fibres and delicate soil structures. It features a semi-cylindrical sample chamber equipped with a rotating closure plate and a solid cone.

Once the required sampling depth is reached, the sampler is rotated through 180°, allowing the sample chamber to fill and seal securely. The sampler can then be extracted with the sample preserved inside the chamber.

Its tapered threaded connections provide stability and minimize unwanted movement during deep sampling operations of up to 10 metres.

Working principle :

• Manually press the sampler into the soil to the required depth.
• Rotate the sampler through 180° to fill and seal the sample chamber.
• Extract the sampler while keeping the collected sample intact and undisturbed.
