Sediment level stave standard set for Sludge & Sediment Samplers

The sediment level stave is a sounding rod set designed to measure sediment depth in surface waters up to 4 metres. The standard set can be extended to reach a measuring depth of 7 metres.

The set consists of four anodised aluminium measuring rods with screw couplings. Each rod is 1 metre long, has a diameter of 25 mm and features measurement markings at 5 cm intervals. A point or sediment grid can be attached to the bottom of the rods for different probing requirements.

An elbow fitting allows depth measurements to be taken at an angle. The stainless steel grid and core point help identify the lower boundary of the sediment layer and enable penetration into harder substrates. The complete set is supplied in a carrying bag.
