Shear Stability Tester for Oil Fuel and Petroleum Testing Instruments

The Diesel Injector Shear Stability Tester evaluates the shear stability of polymer-containing fluids by measuring viscosity loss at 100°C after exposure to a diesel injector apparatus. The test uses European diesel injector test equipment to simulate shear forces at the injector nozzle, allowing assessment of polymer degradation. The apparatus consists of a fluid reservoir, double-plunger pump driven by an electric motor, atomization chamber with a diesel injector spray nozzle, and fluid cooling vessel. The open-top reservoir has an approximate capacity of 250 mL, an inner diameter of 45 mm, and volume graduations. An internal fluid distributor reduces fluid channeling, while a thermometer positioned in the reservoir measures fluid temperature. The system includes a three-way stopcock and transparent plastic tubing connecting the reservoir outlet to the pump inlet.
