+91 98967 93832The single root auger is designed for root system research to study root growth, depth and distribution in trees and plants. It helps evaluate the development of dense and extensive root systems, allowing researchers to understand how plants absorb water and nutrients from the surrounding soil.
The sampler collects large cylindrical and undisturbed soil cores, making it suitable for detailed root zone investigations. Its design allows easy cleaning and is particularly suitable for soft soil and turf layers. The auger is not designed for hammering.
Root system development can be influenced by different soil profile conditions, including hard layers that restrict root penetration, such as plough layers, bog ore, heavy clay and loam layers. Sharp contrasts between soil layers, such as clay and sand or humus-rich and humus-poor soils, as well as high groundwater levels, can also affect root growth.
Manufactured by Atico Export under expert engineering guidance for accurate root zone sampling and reliable soil research applications.
