Smart Ballistic Cart Accessory for School, Colleges and Universities Purpose.

The Smart Ballistic Cart Accessory mounts onto compatible dynamics carts to demonstrate the independence of horizontal (X) and vertical (Y) motion. When a projectile is launched from the accessory while the cart is moving, it travels vertically and is caught farther along the track.

When mounted on a standard dynamics cart, the projectile is launched using a push-button timer delay. When connected to a smart dynamics cart, the accessory can launch the projectile based on measurements collected by the cart through compatible data acquisition software.

The updated design eliminates the need for a separate photogate trigger. Projectiles can now be launched using a time delay or measurement-based conditions directly from the smart cart.

Working principle :

The accessory is attached to a compatible dynamics cart using the supplied mounting screws. The red thumb screws on the top deck provide X and Y adjustments for accurate launcher alignment. A yellow projectile is inserted into the launcher and pressed down to prepare it for firing.

Operation with a standard dynamics cart :

Press the timer button on top of the accessory to activate a one-second delay. Push the cart after pressing the button. The projectile launches vertically and is caught farther along the track as the cart continues moving.

Operation with a smart dynamics cart :

Connect the accessory cable to the accessory port on the smart cart. The projectile can be launched using a software button or by setting a specific distance or time condition. Programming tools can also be used to configure launch conditions based on cart measurements such as position, velocity, or acceleration.

Start data recording and push the cart. The projectile launches automatically when the selected measurement condition is reached. When the cart moves at a constant velocity, the projectile falls back into the catcher mounted on the cart.
