+91 98967 93832The spiral auger is specially designed to penetrate hard soil layers rather than cut and collect soil samples. Its operating principle resembles a corkscrew, allowing it to pass through compact and resistant ground conditions. It features a negative cutting end, with the centre of the auger tip ground away to improve penetration.
This type of auger is primarily used for drilling through very hard layers, such as bore ore, brick layers, chalk and lime profiles. It is generally used in combination with other auger types rather than for routine soil profile investigations and soil mapping.
After use, the auger should be allowed to air-dry and cleaned with soap to maintain its condition. Natural rust may develop during use.
Manufactured by Atico Export with a focus on precision, durability and dependable performance in hard soil penetration and geotechnical investigation applications.
