+91 98967 93832The Stefan-Boltzmann Law Experiment is designed to verify the relationship between the thermal radiation emitted by a black body and its absolute temperature. The apparatus uses a cylindrical electric furnace with a black body cavity that can be heated over a controlled temperature range. The emitted radiation is measured using a Moll's thermopile, while the temperature is monitored using a precision thermocouple. Software-based data acquisition enables accurate measurement and analysis of the experimental results to verify Stefan-Boltzmann's Law. Manufactured by Atico Export India.
Principle
A black body emits thermal radiation whose intensity depends on its absolute temperature. As the temperature of the black body increases, the emitted radiant power increases rapidly according to the Stefan-Boltzmann Law. In this experiment, a black body cavity is heated to different temperatures, and the emitted radiation is measured using a thermopile. The measured radiation intensity is compared with the corresponding temperature to verify the relationship between thermal radiation and absolute temperature.
