+91 98967 93832This setup consists of a launcher and a ballistic pendulum accessory mounted on a rotary motion sensor. The full motion of the pendulum swing can be recorded and graphed.
It allows the standard ballistic pendulum experiment to be performed, where the muzzle velocity of the ball is determined from the maximum height reached by the pendulum.
The setup can also be used to compare a completely inelastic collision, where the ball is captured by the pendulum, with a partially inelastic collision, where the ball rebounds.
Additionally, it enables verification that the angular momentum of the ball about the pivot point is equal to the combined angular momentum of the ball and pendulum immediately after the collision.
