+91 98967 93832Ballistic Galvanometer is a specialized measuring instrument designed to measure the total quantity of electric charge passing through a circuit during a brief transient pulse. Unlike a conventional galvanometer that measures continuous current, a ballistic galvanometer measures charge by observing the first deflection or first throw of its moving coil.
The instrument is designed with a moving coil having a large moment of inertia and very low damping. These features ensure that the first throw of the coil is directly proportional to the total electric charge passing through it.
Ballistic Galvanometer is widely used in physics and electrical engineering laboratories for charge measurement, calibration experiments, and determination of high resistance using the leakage method.
