+91 98967 93832The Biot-Savart Law Experimental Setup is designed to study the relationship between electric current and the magnetic field it produces. The Biot-Savart Law can be practically applied to calculate the magnetic field produced by an arbitrary current distribution and is also valid for currents consisting of charges flowing through space.
The magnetic field along the axis of wire loops and coils of different dimensions is measured using a Gauss meter. The relationship between the maximum magnetic field strength and coil dimensions is investigated, and the measured results can be compared with theoretical effects at different positions.
The Gauss meter probe is mounted on a graduated rail and can be moved smoothly and precisely to measure the magnetic field along the center of the coils. The setup also helps in understanding the magnetic field and magnetic dipole moment associated with a current loop.
