A training unit mounted on a steel frame with stainless steel panels, comprising an open type compressor with air-cooled condenser and clear plastic evaporator for full visual access to the refrigeration cycle. A variety of different flow controls can be selected and their operation studied, including liquid return to the compressor. All flow controls and pressure switches are adjustable by the student to enable basic studies in vapour compression refrigeration control.
