The Water Separability Tester evaluates the ability of lubricating oils to separate from water and resist emulsification. The test involves stirring equal volumes of water and sample at a controlled temperature to form an emulsion, followed by observing the time required for separation. Suitable for petroleum oils and synthetic fluids, the instrument supports the testing of new oils and monitoring of in-service lubricants. It features a seven-position illuminated heating bath, microprocessor temperature control, and a movable digital stirrer with adjustable speed and duration.
