+91 98967 93832The soil moisture measuring system uses a measurement principle similar to the gypsum block system. However, its special sensors do not dissolve in the soil and have a more consistent pore distribution, allowing more accurate and reliable measurements.
The soil moisture sensors have a measuring range of 0β200 kPa (0β200 cbar) and can be used individually or in combination with PVC tubes of various lengths to measure soil moisture tension. Reliable measurements require optimal contact between the sensor and the surrounding soil. Special augers are used to pre-drill holes so that sensors can be installed at different soil depths.
The sensors are permanently buried in the soil and have an average service life of 3β5 years. A soil temperature meter can be used to provide temperature readings for correction in the soil moisture meter. The meter converts electrical resistance into moisture tension expressed in kPa.
The sensors can replace tensiometers in most agricultural and landscape irrigation applications. For continuous or multiple soil moisture measurements, they can also be easily connected to a data logger.
Manufactured by Atico Export to meet the practical requirements of modern agricultural and environmental laboratories.
