Operation / Working Guidelines
- Preheat crucible before charging
- Add light scrap first to form a base
- Add heavier material gradually
- Add flux only after metal becomes molten
- Maintain proper spacing for material expansion
- Heat new crucible gradually to ~600°C initially
- Increase to ~900°C before charging
- Maintain crucible temperature equal to or slightly above molten metal
