Pellet Press - 40 Tons

The Pellet Press - 40 Tons is a laboratory machine used for pelletizing of grinded material for X-ray analyzing purposes.

Pellet Specifications :

• Can press pellets of a diameter varying from 13 up to 50 mm.
• Die sets are made of high-quality stainless steel.
• Plunger is high-grade mirror polished to improve pellet surface.

Way of Operating with the Die Set :

• Fill the set with 5–10 ml of milled sample and insert the plunger on top.
• Start the pressing process using the digital touchscreen display.
• The automated preset program will start the cycle.
• After releasing the pressure, removing the die set is not needed: pull out the bottom slider.
• The operator then presses the pellet down with a little force using the machine.
• Result: smooth pellet.

Die Set Options :

• Available in high-grade stainless steel, tungsten carbide, cobalt steels and iron-free versions.
• Special requests available on demand.
• Smallest die sets and easiest to handle: 3 mm, 5 mm and 8 mm diameters.
• For plastic pellets, an optional heated plate is available to obtain melted pellets.

• Pellets of various thickness and diameters can be produced using the Pellet Press - 40 Tons.

• Other available models in the market use preset hydraulic working principle, having no possibility to control the pressure during pressing the pellet.

• With the PP40 Tons Pellet Press the operator can visualize in the display which pressure is set and what is the time frame used for this pressure.

• This increases the quality of the pellet and also the reproducibility of the pellet, making the analyses more reliable.

• Up to 10 different programs are adjustable, setting the pressure in relation to time.

• A program consists of 1 to 6 steps. Within each step the press power and time can be adjusted.

• For each material there is a different optimum pressure, which needs to be learned by doing.
