Optional components designed for operation with the airflow system, allowing students to quantitatively investigate pressure drops in pipe sections and bends, and flow measurement using an orifice plate. A series of straight pipe sections, bends and different air inlet shapes are equipped with static pressure tappings to measure air pressure drops due to pipe friction across a range of air velocities. The air flow rate is measured using a standard orifice via differential pressure.
