The servo-controlled MECATEST is a conventional rock compression testing system capable of performing uniaxial and triaxial compression tests on large specimens. Tests performed allow the user to determine strength and elastic properties, shear strength at different confining pressures, angle of shearing resistance and cohesion, modulus of elasticity, acoustic velocities, Poisson’s ratio, and tensile strength.
