Ultra speed centrifuge Special core analysis Instruments

The ultra-speed centrifuge enables rapid determination of capillary pressure characteristics and relative permeability curves on six 1” or 30-mm core samples or three 1.5” core sample simultaneously. It can also be utilized for rapid sample preparation to restore state conditions for subsequent testing in various test equipment. Custom designed sample chambers offer the ability to spin core plug samples at rotational speeds up to 20,000 rpm. It includes a rotor and cells (core holders) which can accommodate either 1”, 30-mm or 1.5” diameter cores. A digital speed control with the ability to ramp speeds at specified intervals and a precision temperature control system is included. An over-temperature setpoint stops the centrifuge if the temperature exceeds the setpoint by a specified value. The system is also equipped with a sensor for rotor imbalance. It is equipped with a digital camera system that allows the user to measure the displaced fluid volumes in each of the cells sequentially.

The ultra-centrifuge allows drainage tests to be performed on consolidated and unconsolidated core samples.
