Automated Flocculation Titrimeter for Oil and Petroleum Testing Equipment

The Automated Flocculation Titrimeter (AFT) is designed to evaluate the stability and compatibility of asphalt, heavy oils, petroleum residua, crude oils and related petroleum products. It determines flocculation points, blending insolubility and solubility numbers using controlled-temperature titration. The system operates as a closed unit with temperature control from 20°C to 100°C and uses spectroscopic detection to identify asphaltene precipitation points. Integrated data acquisition software analyzes the results and calculates Heithaus compatibility parameters, helping refiners assess blending compatibility, predict coking tendencies and optimize distillate recovery. The instrument also provides data for calculating the WRI Coking Index to support heavy oil processing and reduce the risk of fouling.
