Educational Objectives: Identify sensors, actuators, processes to control, write a GRAFCET, calibrate an analog sensor and study its linearity.
The system consists of a stirred mixing tank fed by two tanks. Each tank has an electric drain valve, a manual drain valve, and a low-level sensor.
Three 5-liter PVC tanks with drain valves
Three electric solenoid valves
Four capacitive level sensors
One stirrer (motor and propeller)
A pH regulation loop managed by the controller's PID function, including: pH measurement probe, pH/current transmitter (4–20 mA), peristaltic pump (110V) with variable speed drive, acid or base supply tank
A painted steel cabinet (600x400x250) including: lockable isolator, emergency stop, reset button, power indicator, start/stop buttons, 4 commutators, controller wiring terminals, stirrer command and protection, 24V AC transformer, 24V DC supply for the controller
