+91 98967 93832Solid–liquid extraction is a semi-continuous process coupling distillation with a Soxhlet-type cartridge containing a solid impregnated with an active compound (solute) to be extracted by dissolution in a hot solvent. Learning Objectives: Influence of solvent type. Influence of residence time. Learn about Digital Batch Solid–Liquid Extraction (Soxhlet) Unit for optimal educational outcomes.. Influence of operating mode. Mass balance. Learn about Batch Solid–Liquid Extraction (Soxhlet) Unit exporters for optimal educational outcomes.. Calculation of mass transfer coefficients.
The distillation column generates solvent vapours that are condensed; this pure, hot solvent feeds the cartridge containing the inert solid and solute. When the cartridge is full, the resulting solution drains automatically by siphoning and returns to the reboiler where the solvent is re-boiled.
