+91 98967 93832Concentration by evaporation is a process for removing water by boiling, using steam (primary) as the heat transfer fluid, which transfers its latent heat to the product to be evaporated. The heating surface in contact with the product divides the unit into an evaporator and a steam condenser. Pedagogical Objectives: Study of the following experimental parameters: Continuous concentration of a solution by evaporation. Learn about Falling-Film Evaporator suppliers for optimal educational outcomes.. Influence of operating conditions. Calculations: Heat balances. Learn about Falling-Film Evaporator specifications for optimal educational outcomes.. Mass balances.
Technical Description: Every evaporator must be considered as a latent heat exchanger whose limiting transfer is the internal heat transfer through the layer of product to be concentrated. Vacuum evaporation is used for two main reasons.
100 L product tank in 304L stainless steel, with lid, drain and casters
100 L feed tank in 304L stainless steel, with lid, drain and casters
One variable-speed feed pump (also used for washing)
One variable-speed draw-off pump (option, also used for washing)
First falling-film evaporator: double-wall 304L stainless steel heat exchanger — steam circulates in the outer jacket, product flows through 3 central 304L stainless steel tubes (exchange surface: 0.12 m²). The exchanger is fitted with external insulation and baffles in the outer jacket to increase system heat capacity
Steam pressure in the first system is controlled by a proportional stainless steel solenoid valve, which can also be operated manually
