FLOW AROUND A BEND INVESTIGATION

An optional duct module for the airflow system enabling students to investigate the static pressure distribution on both the inside and outside radius of a 100 ° 50 mm rectangular 90° bend. A series of four pressure tappings arranged radially allow investigation of secondary flow circulation within the duct. Static pressure tapping points are located at strategic positions along the inner and outer radius. When connected to a multitube manometer, the static pressure profile along both radii can be measured across a range of air velocities.
