Lifting and Translation System

Derived from industrial lifting applications, this system combines lifting and translation functions for transferring a modular weight load. This system is intended to have students wire various types of asynchronous motor starters as well as a control logic. Structure:

• Welded steel chassis
• Grid protection of the work zone
• Access to the load via a keyed door (with electrical closure contact and key lock) on the chassis

Lifting Mechanism:

• Two-speed electric chain hoist, rated capacity 125 kg, with electromagnetic fail-safe brake
• Lifting motor: 450W, 400V three-phase, two-speed
• Translation motor: 400V three-phase, with integrated inverter, two-speed
• Lifting linear speed: 2 and 8 m/min
• Translation linear speed: 5 and 20 m/min
• 2 lifting limit switches, 1 cross switch for translation limit positions
• Load: eleven 10 kg metal masses stacked on an 8 kg easily removable basket
